Don’t despair! There are a number of things you can do to jumpstart your metabolism and lose weight. It doesn't include going to the gym 3 days a week pumping weights although, obviously, that would help.

Add spice to your food
Adding spice to your food can speed up metabolism. There are many spices available in the market. Chili, for example, can boost your metabolic rate by up to 50 percent in about three hours after being consumed . The reason is that chilli it increases your heart rate and will cause you to sweat which is vital when your aim is to get rid of those unnecessary fats and also increase your metabolism.
Eat little and often
Eating small portions regularly during the day is better for your metabolism than eating larger portions at meal times.
Studies have shown that people feel more satisfied when given smaller portions of food, as long as they are given them often. The end result is less calories consumed during the course of the day.
Implementing these simple tips to jumpstart your metabolism may just allow you to get to your goal weight. If not, more aggressive methods may be required.
