Ayurveda and ayurvedic products from the world renowned Deepak Chopra!

Ayurveda is an ancient Indian holistic system of health and preventative medicine that originated in India some 5000 years ago.

Ayurveda is a Sanskrit word that literally translated means "science of life" or "practices of longevity".

Ayurvedic medicine is a comprehensive system that places equal emphasis on the body, mind and spirit, and aims to restore the innate harmony of the individual using treatments that include diet, yoga, meditation, oils, herbs and other natural systems in treating disease.

Ayurvedic medicine is gaining popularity in western countries because it treats the person on all levels - mind, body and spirit. Western medicine tends to focus on and treat the disease itself.

Deepak Chopra is one of the more prominent, well known supporters of ayurvedic medicine. However, he does have his detractors.

What Chopra is peddling is quantum gibberish. I certainly don't claim to understand quantum physics, but I do believe that a healthy mind is the main determinant of a healthy body and if ayervedic medicine contributes to that it can only be valuable as far as I'm concerned.
